These roles are based inPenrose but will also include working remotely for part of the time. You will work alongside a group of seasoned HR and Payroll professionalsessentially solving a gigantic puzzle. Your work will impact decisions on how we manage, roster and recompense our wider DHB team of nearly 30,000. It is complex work and the outputs of this project will make a difference far wider than the team currently employed by the Auckland Metro DHBs because, when you’re looking after the salaries of so many people, making sure it all happens correctly is imperative as it impacts thousands of families in the community.

In this role, you will support the Payroll Stream Lead providing payroll expertise to the Rectification Stream on the project. Your work will help ensure that the future solutions comply with both the Holidays Act and MECA/IEA standards and are able to be delivered operationally. As a Payroll Analyst, you will bring your payroll expertise to support the Payroll Systems Work Stream with configuration and testing of a new compliant system, helping to analyse and validate data outputs. You will also help to identify and document the process changes to enable future compliance.

Nga PÅ«kenga Motuhake | Important Skills
As the ideal person you will have:-
• A minimum of 5 years experience processing complex payrolls in excess of 1,000 employees 
• Experience of working on the Leader payroll system
• A sound understanding of the Holidays Act, ideally with Holidays Act remediation experience
• Experience in payroll system implementations and documenting payroll processes
• Payroll system script-writing and testing experience
• Experience in the health sector would also be a distinct advantage
