The Position
St John of God Berwick Hospital provides a wide range of services caring for inpatients, outpatients and day patients across a range of specialties including maternity, medical and surgical; offering state of the art equipment and facilities to our rapidly growing community.
We currently have an opportunity for a suitably experienced administrator to commence as a Patient Liaison Officer within the Business Office.Our Patient Liaison Officers as members of the Front Office Staff are the key contact points for patients, clinicians, and managers for patient’s pre-admission, admission, discharge, billing and debtors follow up.This is a great opportunity to join our friendly team in a well-supported environment that prides itself on providing excellent customer service and high levels of efficiency.
To be considered, applicants must be available to work across a variety of shifts Monday- Sunday. Early start time is 6am, latest finish time is 9pm. Preadmissions is the primary focus so a good understanding of health fund rules is required. Experience working in a hospital environment and knowledge of medical terminology will be highly regarded.
