GPS is a sales organisation accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft. Building on the GPS mission, the Tech team mission is to develop the strategy and plan for how we build, nurture, and engage the partner ecosystem to drive tech acceleration and customer outcomes. 

This Cloud Solution Architect role is perfect for someone who likes to work closely with Microsoft partners to help build their technical capability to deliver Microsoft technology-based solutions. You will help partners understand the power of the Microsoft Modern Workplace suite of products, explaining the technical features, helping partners design architectures, engage in proof of concepts and troubleshooting potential roadblocks with subject matter experts and product engineering teams. This is a partner facing role, responsible for providing end-to-end technical guidance and expertise. 

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role 

• The Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) plays a critical role in working with partners to align their technology roadmaps with Microsoft's technology priorities. 
• The Partner CSA role is a unique opportunity to shape and support the technical growth of the Microsoft ANZ partner ecosystem.
• The CSA works in partnership with the Partner Development Manager (PDM) through the `Build-With’ stages of the solution/service Life-cycle engagement. 
• You will facilitate architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concepts. 
• You will work with partners to help them build and grow their technical practices in the Microsoft 365, Teams, Viva and Frontline Worker solution areas, including solution development, skilling and architectural guidance. 
• This role will own the technical partner strategy for Modern Workplace, as well as collaborating with other parts of Microsoft and our partners, always with the Partners’ needs at the heart of everything you do.

Qualifications

What skills do you need to have? 

 This role will focus on Microsoft Viva and Microsoft 365 for Frontline Worker, hence experience in workplace productivity, human resources and/or learning and employee experience technologies will be required.

• Functional experience on fit-gap analysis and solution design involving workplace systems such as (but not limited to) Slack, Qualtrics, Workday, META/Facebook Workplace, Google Workplace and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Technical design and implementation of one of multiple applications listed in the previous item, including implementation lifecycle, integration and extensibility patterns.
• Collaboration. Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Communication. Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams. Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences at different levels of organizations.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • OR equivalent experience
