The Global Partner Solutions team’s mission is to build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more. GPS is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft. Building on the GPS mission, the Go-To-Market team mission is to develop the strategy and marketing approach for how we build, nurture, and engage the partner ecosystem to drive tech acceleration and customer outcomes.

 

The Partner Channel Marketing Manager for Enablement is key to Microsoft's Global Partner Solutions organization strategy. As a Microsoft PCMM for Enablement, you will be helping our partners and internal sellers to connect and work together more easily. You will make it easier for our field sellers to discover partner solutions that align to the needs of our customers and work to build and accelerate partner pipeline.

 

This role is responsible for creatively enabling our partners to get their key solutions and capabilities into a format and repository that allows for faster discoverability by our field sellers. You will enable partners to more easily maintain their content and materials to assure accuracy, timeliness, and visibility to Microsoft field sellers. The enablement leads work across Microsoft and partner organizations to create better integration and sharing of partner solutions and customer needs aligned by Microsoft Solution Area and Industry. The outcome will be instrumental in driving awareness of partner capability in a format that is more consistent, flexible, and easy to use for our sellers. The goal of this role is to reduce the time it takes a seller to go from ideation to true Co-Selling.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

Conducts analysis, including market and/or ecosystem, product performance and perceptions, competitive and Microsoft direction, and segmentation.

Identifies opportunities to develop untapped potential in the ecosystem.

Implements multiple aspects of to-partner and through-partner marketing plans to drive product-line growth and adoption.

Ensures that marketing plans engage appropriate channel types and capacity to meet business needs.

Implements multiple aspects of channel readiness programs that drive sales and technical skills for partners, for successful customer engagement.

Ensures that the channel readiness plans outline partner capacities needed to meet product-line business goals

Identify key partner capabilities and coordinate getting their content into an easy to consume format.

Develop objective criteria to identify top party partner solutions driving impact in key industries across Microsoft clouds.

Gain understanding of tooling used by field sellers to identify partner solutions and work to find better alternatives to increase speed of execution.

Partner with key stakeholders across Partner, Marketing, and Sales to establish a predictable communication framework to raise field awareness of key partner solutions and drive co-sell success

 

Enable efficient lead sharing between Microsoft and our partner network:

Drive clear messaging on the WHY, the HOW and the WHEN related to sharing opportunities with our partners.

Work with our Partner Communities to educate them on the process of lead sharing.

Work with new sellers to help them more fully understand and leverage the partner eco-system.

Gain understanding of field seller roles and work to eliminate challenges related to partner-field integration. 

Drive overall enablement strategy for sellers to engage partners more efficiently

Create an end-to-end seller enablement plan inclusive of managed and un-managed partners across all Microsoft Clouds and Solution areas.

Understand various field seller roles and develop enablement plans appropriate per role.

Validate enablement plan across relevant GPS/GTM roles to ensure alignment

Qualifications

Experience Required:

4+ years of experience in partner marketing and/or field sales programs. 

Understanding of industry/vertical software industry and/or partner ecosystem.

Experience with technology platforms and solutions with a reasonable working understanding of function and capability.

Experience of working with virtual teams across functions and geographies:

Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment

Strong relationship management and communication skills.

Ability to listen, learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Creativity and the ability to think beyond the current structure and bring new ideas and thinking.

Obsessed and committed to customer / stakeholder satisfaction

Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences

Bachelor’s degree desired (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA preferred

Project Management experience is a plus
