Job Description
What will you be doing:
Reporting to the Practice Principal and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment you will work in accordance with the PBS Capability Framework to provide Positive Behaviour Support to a paediatric caseload.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments
- Develop person-centred, evidence-informed and practical behaviour support plans
- Train and support families and other stakeholders in the implementation of behaviour support strategies, aimed at reducing or eliminating behaviours of concern
- Monitor the effectiveness of behaviour support strategies.
- Provide supervision to other PBS practitioners.
What you need to join:
- A Passion for supporting children and families with behaviours of concern
- Registration with the NDIS Commission as a Proficient, Advanced or Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Relevant allied health or other qualification, and/or 3+ years experience developing behaviour support plans
- Understanding of restrictive practices and associated reporting requirements
- Compliance – National Police Check, Working with Children check, NDIS Workers Screening clearance, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
- Experience working with children and/or people with disability and confidence in your role with children and their families.
