We are looking for a smart, driven and real Operator to join our Manufacturing team.
  
The Opportunity:

You will work alongside an experienced team of operators to support the production schedule and ensure machinery is running efficiently and effectively in accordance with set specifications. 


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Ensure all work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner 
  • Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule 
  • Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines 
  • Setting up and installing moulds and other machine fixtures
  • Collecting and examining samples for conformity to specifications and adjusting machine settings accordingly 
  • Setting grinding and cutting edges
  • Work with Asset team members to improve availability of the equipment 
  • Assist with the conducting of trails for new products as required 
  • Identify and act on issues impacting on availability, rate and yield 
  • Continually strive to develop skills and knowledge of the fibre cement process and related areas 
  • Embrace technological change and learn new skills related to new processes

  
About You:

  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Ability to use computers for the entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation 
  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace 
  •  Minimum of 2 years experience as an Operator in manufacturing environment 
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance environment
