Position: Operations Technician
Job Status: Regular- Part time
Location: 216 First Avenue North, Saskatoon, SA.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours of Work: Must be available for a variety of shifts including early morning, weekend and evenings. Some overtime as required. Weekly hours ranging from 16 – 32 hours.
Responsibilities:
All duties associated with a TV Operations department including but not limited to: Switching, Audio, Graphics, Feed & Play, Studio
Directing live news programming
Some ENG Camera work
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Post-Secondary Education in Television Broadcasting, Film or Media production. Related industry experience considered an asset.
Experience as ENG Camera.
Experience and knowledge in the production, control room, operational and technical performance capabilities of broadcast equipment with knowledge of industry technical standards and regulations.
Troubleshooting skills – ability to problem solve during technical breakdowns or difficulties
MUST be able to work under pressure and demonstrate ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision-making.
MUST have ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment with emphasis on internal assistance and upholding professional standards.
MUST BE a team player.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
