Your new opportunity at Nine.

The Studio Operations Audio Team is looking for an Entry Level role on a 9 month fixed term contract as part of our traineeship program in the Audio Department. 

The Audio Assistant will work under the guidance of the Audio Director on all Nine productions on the studio floor. This role will be responsible for setting up, testing and operating audio equipment.

Gain hands-on training and contribute to the day-to-day operations across a range of Broadcast Operation teams with a focus on studio broadcast audio.

The program will run from March to November and support Nine’s broadcast events during this time as well as Today, News and sporting programs, local and ad hoc productions, and other studio requirements. 

These roles will be shift work including 0400 start time, weekends and public holidays.

Day to day you will:

• Learn and contribute to the day-to-day operations across a range of Broadcast Operations teams
• Broaden experience and develop skills by rotating through a range of operations departments. Utilise this experience to provide insights and opportunities for process improvements 
• Gain exposure to supporting live shows and sporting events and learn the technical requirements that enable shows to go to air
• Support studio coordination, resources and equipment as needed
• Fulfill any other duties reasonable across Studio Operations and Technology Operations

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Excellent organisation skills with a strong attention to detail

• The ability to work autonomously and part of a team  
• A positive and can-do attitude 
• Must be available for shift work
• Eligibility to work in Australia permanently
