Office Reception / Administration All Rounder - Lane Cove NSW

Prensa is a National Risk Management Consulting company that specialises in occupational health and safety, hazardous materials, emergency management, environment, and occupational hygiene.  We service our clients throughout Australia endeavouring to exceed their expectations and ensure premium expertise at all times.  Prensa offers a thriving, dynamic and collaborative environment to our highly motivated employees.  We are currently looking for a full-time Reception/Administration All Rounder to join our busy team in Lane Cove.

Your responsibilities:

This role will see you committed to providing excellent administrative assistance that supports the entire office.  Key accountabilities for this varied role are listed (but not limited to):

  • Manage Reception including answering and directing all phone calls, and assisting walk-in clients;
  • Monitoring and responding to the office administration email;
  • Onboarding assistance including putting together induction packs, updating the seating plan and phone directory, assisting with induction;
  • Monitor sick/annual leave;
  • Assist with organising and coordinating company events;
  • Inventory of office stationery and kitchen supplies;
  • Book and manage couriers;
  • Ensure communal areas including meeting rooms are kept clean and tidy;
  • Assist our consultants with project support, including updating of trackers and registers;
  • Provide assistance with finance and IT functions, working closely with our finance and IT team in Melbourne; and
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Great communication skills, friendly personality, professional presentation, and willingness to assist other team members as required;
  • Outstanding customer service;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Power Point);
  • Understanding of communication systems such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Polycom's, 
  • Previous experience in an administrative role;
  • The ability to work independently and part of a team; and
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem solve as issues arise.
