The opportunity
Our Learning & Development team is looking for an Oceania Assurance Learning & Development Lead
The Oceania Assurance L&D Lead is responsible for the overall strategic direction of learning and development for Assurance partners and staff. The role requires a close working relationship with the Assurance Learning team and other key members of the L&D team (Career Development & Performance, Cross Service Line etc.) to ensure the timely deployment of the Assurance Learning Plan to relevant partners and staff.
Building trusted relationships with Assurance Leadership and the People Leaders network is essential in this role to ensure priorities are strategically aligned. The role also requires developing the Assurance people strategy in conjunction with the Assurance People Leader and Talent Account Team Leader as well as execution on major initiatives.
This is a full-time permanent role, open to Australia locations.
Your key responsibilities
Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in Assurance (Assurance Executive Leadership, Assurance People Leader network)
Consult closely with the Assr People Partner and the Assurance Talent Consulting team to deliver on planned people initiatives around development (for eg. deployment of Unconscious Bias to partners)
Coach Assurance partners in career conversations
In consultation with Oceania Assurance Leader, build the capability of the Assurance Executive Leadership to embed collective leadership principles and practices, through the delivery of the Executive Leadership Program
Develop and execute a strategy to promote development for the Assurance partner pipeline, in conjunction with the Partner Development Leader
Support the development of the Assr Learning plan and budget, including alignment to EY Learning and business strategy and prioritisation of Region SL Learning investments
Facilitate partner learning sessions/ meetings as required
Consult and assist People Leader network and HRBPs with driving high potential programs
Contribute to general L&D activities, such as facilitating firmwide courses, counselling, coaching as part of firmwide programs with the ability to impact and engage diverse audiences from graduates through to experienced partners
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
Demonstrated success in building internal and external relationships at a senior level with a proven track record of success as a trusted business advisor
Excellent leadership skills
Ability to implement large complex multiple projects and initiatives at any one time
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Demonstrated ability in executive coaching
Excellent coaching and influencing skills
Must be able to make decisions and overcome obstacles with minimal supervision
Strong influencing skills are required to work with Assurance Leaders
Must be able to guide the Assurance Learning team deliver on the learning priorities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
A minimum of five or more years’ experience in the L&D environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
Coaching certifications preferred – LSI, Exec Dimensions, TRACOM, IECL
