 General Nurseryhand

Tasks:

• Full time - working days are Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
   

• Assist in monitoring and managing nursery plants towards production

• Maintain plants including weeding, pruning, watering, and fertilisation

• Manage plant nutrition and watering requirements

• Advise on the identification of pests and diseases, and on regulations regarding the quality grading and dispatching of products

• Prepare and apply chemicals for pest and disease control 

• Follow safety policies and procedures and maintains safety standards

• Participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace

• Liaise with Nursery Manager as and when required

• Perform other duties as reasonably directed by management. 

 Qualifications and experience required:

• Formal trade qualification in Horticulture, Production, Agriculture or a related field is highly regarded

• Relevant experience in a production or agricultural role is highly regarded

• Great work ethic, reliable, punctual, proactive and ability to work independently 

• Good communication skills 

• Prepared to work in different weather conditions
