• We are looking for a vibrant, highly motivated Senior Registered Nurse to step into a Nurse Specialist role within our Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit
• Permanent, Part time (0.4FTE)

Ward 42 of the Auckland City Hospital is a fast paced and stimulating environment, caring for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery. Join the team as a Nurse Specialist utilising your previous skills and experience within this complex environment.

As a Nurse Specialist you will be based within the services and will deliver care across a variety of settings, case coordinating to enhance an integrated patient journey including pre-hospital, emergency, acute and planned care. Liaise with outpatients and inpatients, as well as, primary care and community settings. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other teams to provide expert advice, care co-ordination, resources and support to healthcare professionals working with high priority and complex patients with specific conditions. What we are looking for?

• Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)

• A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)

• Previous experience within a surgical setting

• Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles

• A personal commitment to on-going learning and development
