Job Title:  Network Operations Clerk, Northern Tel

Job Location: 850 Birch Street South, Timmins, Ontario

Job Status: Temporary – Full Time

Purpose and scope:

Primarily responsible for; administrative support to our Managers and business unit with daily enquiries. May be responsible for a specific administrative function (e.g. time administration, reporting, purchasing and invoice handling, tracking dealer modem inventory and or providing support for timesheets).

 

Major accountabilities:

Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • May run reports from payroll
  • May validate and correct time entry in
  • May input time sheets into SAP to create accurate paycheques for technicians.
  • Assist with coordination of vacation schedules
  • Create and update reports on vacation, absences, COGS, time entry compliance, and training time, training budgeting, STS, mileage and HVC
  • Processing of invoices, E-Billing, VISA and purchasing card statements through Ariba/APSS
  • Handling of modem inventory, and orders
  • Handling of dealer issues, modem replacements, and associated reporting
  • Performs related duties as assigned. May perform other duties as assigned

 

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Level Required:
    • The minimum education level that is required to start working in this position is the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
    • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration or another related field (and/or equivalent experience) would be an asset
    • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Specific Experience:
    • Experience and familiarity with Finance process (GL, WBS, cost centers, E-Bill) an asset
    • Experience with time administration

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented, team player able to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, probing, questioning, negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • High level of self-sufficiency and initiative

 

Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to learn, and comprehend new product knowledge
  • Handle ambiguity
  • Ability to learn and use new computer systems
  • Although part of a team, ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

 

Technical Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access
  • Experience using database applications
  • SAP P50 and P90
  • Ariba

 

Additional information:

  • Work schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
