Job Description
We currently have a position available for a Network Administrator to join the team at Ingleburn. Reporting to the VP of IT Infrastructure & Digital Transformation, you will be assisting the IT Infrastructure team in supporting the local area network, security and capacity monitoring, whilst ensuring system availability.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist and communicate effectively with staff on technical support issues;
- Provide technical support for both internal and external customers;
- Resolve reported errors as promptly and efficiently as possible;
- Ensure approved recommendations for upgrades and on-going improvement to network PC’s and all computer systems are undertaken;
- Monitor system performance, resource usage and response times;
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a documented, best-practice infrastructure and ongoing provision of a sound production environment;
- Monitor and manage the local virus protection system and patch management;
- Support with the implementation of security requirements as per audit standards;
- Provide quality service to staff by responding to and resolving enquiries on a range of software and hardware products including scanners, printers and photocopiers;
- Track and maintain queries using the call management system;
- Ensure regular backups are performed;
- Build and deploy servers and desktop systems;
- Trouble shoot desktop, server and network problem errors;
- Monitor and maintain a clean Active Directory domain; and
- Provide effective and efficient service, support and training to Data Processing, Production and/or users, including remote sales offices.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant IT experience in a similar technical role with appropriate tertiary qualification(s), diploma or equivalent in Technology or related discipline;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications including, IIS, SQL Server and Exchange;
- Microsoft Certified Professional or progress towards (desired however not essential);
- Experience in network & PC technologies, implementation and troubleshooting;
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft desktop products including, Windows Workstations, Office Suites , Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer;
- Intermediate knowledge of system security, system backups and Firewalls;
- Proficient in all aspects of system hardware/software;
- Demonstrates proactive and well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Sound analytical skills to identify trends or problems;
- Accuracy and high attention to detail;
- A strong work ethic, punctual and reliable; and
- Able to work well within a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision.
