Our family is looking for a nanny to care for our son (aged 15 months) and assist with the care of our two daughters (aged 4 and 6 years). We are located in Parnell.

Our children are caring, curious, energetic and vivacious young people.  Our six year old is at school.  Our four year old is at kindy.  Our 15 month old is at home.  They also participate in activities outside of school and kindy.  

The role is not a housekeeping role.  However, we do expect help with laundry and cleaning relating to the children (including encouraging them to clean up after themselves). 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Caring for our children;
• Taking them to and from school/kindergarten and other activities;
• Planning and suggesting stimulating and age appropriate activities;
• Preparing meals;
• Administering basic first aid (as appropriate);
• Facilitating playdates and related activities involving other children;
• Keeping us informed of their care, what they have eaten, activities, mood, behaviour, any issues at kindergarten etc.

We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

• Empathetic, flexible, energetic, patient, reliable and trustworthy;
• Experienced nanny;
• Passionate about caring for children and their development;
• Competent cook and enthusiastic about healthy eating;
• Educated in early childhood care;
• Excellent references;
• Clean Police record;
• Full and clean driver’s license;
• Trained in children’s first aid;
• Wanting a long-term position.

Hours:

• Approximately 35 to 45 hours per week across Monday to Friday (exact times TBD however will be between 7.30am and 6.30pm).
• We will need flexibility to do additional hours as and when required often at short notice.
