Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced medical receptionists to join our team.

Our privately owned GP practices is located in Bondi Junction and is within close proximity to public transport and Westfields. We are passionate about providing quality health care to our patients.

We are looking for highly driven and experienced medical receptionist part-time although full-time will be considered. There may be the opportunity to work across both practices. You will be required to work within a team environment as well as individually and must be enthusiastic, reliable and able to demonstrate initiative and have excellent communication skills as to ensure customer service is to the highest of standards. 

The successful applicant must have flexibility and be available to work on a rotating weekend roster.

This role will ideally suit someone who has experience as a medical receptionist and will give you the opportunity to showcase your skills as an excellent and caring receptionist

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have previous experience as a medical receptionist in a general practice setting is essential
  • Prior experience with Best Practice software (similar other medical software experience will be considered)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Possess strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be dependable, reliable, and have a strong work ethic
  • Be caring, friendly and have a positive attitude
  • Have an energetic personality and enthusiastic approach to tasks
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Flexibility with availability for shifts

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments and responding to enquiries
  • Welcoming and greeting patients in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Knowledge of general practice Medicare billings
  • Supportive to our GP's with their daily requests
  • Management and scanning of patient documents daily
  • Re-stocking and general upkeep of all rooms daily
  • Promptly answering phone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner
  • Triaging patients and monitoring waiting room
  • Informing patients of any fees associated with their visit, and operate all aspects of billing
  • General administrative tasks such as scanning and importing documents, including allocation.
  • Daily banking reconciliation
  • All other general daily administrative duties as required for the role.
