Position: Media Technology Analyst, Bell Media

Location: 9 Channel Nine Court, Toronto, Ontario

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday: daytime schedule. On-call after hours (on rotation).Overtime as required

Responsibilities:

• Design, install and support enterprise-level storage and archiving systems, including Isilon, Qumulo and Oracle
• Provide application support to users of specialized software applications including Avid iNews
• Design, install and support Windows and Linux servers
• Quick response to ameliorate technical issues and minimize system/service downtimes
• Monitor system and network elements using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting procedures; perform diagnostics of system hardware and software components
• Document systems maintenance / configuration / applications, as well as technical reference material
• Rapid and thorough at scale communication with non-technical customer base
• Evaluate and improve existing systems and workflows with a focus on automation and virtualization
• Work on call as scheduled
• Additional duties as required

• Experience with large scale storage environment including DAS, SAN, NAS and LTO based Tape Libraries
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux servers
• Strong knowledge of Avid iNews
• General knowledge of database servers and their performance
• College and/or post-secondary degree
