As our Marketing Copywriter, you will focus relentlessly on creating effective communication pieces that educate aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. You embrace a ‘can-do’ attitude and are not afraid to contribute fresh ideas to the group. Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for our mission and be motivated to support the creation of meaningful connections with our entrepreneur community. 

What will you do?

Conceptualize and craft advertising headlines, marketing messages, brand tone of voice, social and digital campaigns, emails, website content, landing pages, video scripts and more

Own the creation and execution of Ownr’s tone and voice and ensure a consistent experience across all customer touchpoints

Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, Marketers, Product Managers and others to execute campaigns and digital solutions

Help optimize marketing efforts with segmentation, personalized digital tactics that nurture and engage target audiences.

Engage legal, compliance and other internal resources/teams as required to mitigate legal and regulatory risk

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

5+ years of copywriting experience: from homepages to blog posts to everything in between, when it comes to writing copy you understand how to use the magic of words to effectively convey key concepts and keep all communications on brand

A portfolio of written work that demonstrates your creative skills and conceptual thinking

Post-secondary education in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field

Experience building trusted partner relationships with Marketing, Advertising, and/or Design agencies

Highly organized, with attention to detail and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously

Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously

Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way across the organization but also comfortable in working independently and without structure to achieve results

Strong understanding of marketing technology tools (WordPress, Google Suite, Asana, Confluence, HubSpot).

Experience working in SaaS/tech environments is a plus
