As Securities Lending and Borrowing Settlement Manager, you will manage, coach and support a team of passionate people in the Operations, Financial Markets and Payments sector.

Your role:

• Manage a team of 11 professionals responsible for delivering various activities
• Maintain and develop expertise with respect to activities related to the securities lending and borrowing process
• Offer client-centric support to our various partners/clients
• Simplify and improve processes in line with our daily activities, our new products and auditor recommendations
• Build and maintain relationships with our various stakeholders (FO-Traders, Risk, IT, etc.) and ensure effective communication on an ongoing basis
• Develop, implement and upgrade the controls and tools that make it possible to achieve high standards of quality and minimize operational risks related to activities
• Coach and guide the team in achieving their potential by identifying learning and development opportunities and reinforcing versatility

The Securities Settlement Processes team is seeking a manager to work with the team responsible for securities lending and borrowing settlement and ensure an optimal client experience while contributing to the success of Financial Markets and the transformation of Operations.

As a manager in the Securities Settlement Processes sector, you'll work with a dynamic and evolving team in a diversified, stimulating environment.  You will put in place the necessary actions to deliver the services offered with a view to improving the efficiency, productivity and profitability of your sector.  You will also engage your employees and help them maximize their contribution while ensuring their growth and skills development through personalized coaching.

You will stand out for your knowledge of the sector and of the various products, your management experience and your ability to manage various stakeholders.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Lending and Borrowing Operations and is based in downtown Montreal.

Required skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience OR master's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience
• Considerable personnel management experience
• Experience in the securities industry
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while focusing on results
• Organizational skills and ability to manage projects and daily activities 
• Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French), essential
