What is the opportunity?

The Manager, RBC Wealth Management Canada Compliance will provide assistance with coordination, drafting and implementation of policies for Canadian Wealth Management and related securities businesses They will provide compliance support to business, Head Office, Functional groups and Compliance staff on marketing and social media initiatives and other regulatory compliance matters. This role will provide assistance with business and regulatory projects; as well as Compliance oversight and advice on working groups, projects, and committees and perform compliance monitoring and testing, as required.

What will you do?

• Act as the primary contact for regulatory policy development and administer and maintain policies and procedures within the Policy and Procedure Library
• Conduct impact assessments and analysis on existing policies and procedures in response to regulatory change
• Act as the subject matter expert for marketing and social media related matters, which includes providing compliance training and support to head office staff
• Review marketing materials produced by head office groups to ensure compliance with regulation and/or firm policy
• Provide compliance subject matter expertise for Canadian Wealth Management and related securities businesses on compliance projects
• Carry out duties within Regulatory Compliance Management program, including supporting the businesses in Annual Risk Assessments and conducting compliance monitoring and testing

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Experience in investments, fiduciary services, audit and/or compliance
• Understanding of securities laws, regulations applicable to Canadian securities registrants
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter, able to deal with peak workloads and deadlines, take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team

Nice-to-have

• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance program or equivalent

• Canadian Securities Course and/or other related CSI course
• Thorough, accurate and able to focus on the correctness of detail without losing sight of the big picture
• Superior organizational skills
