Job Description
Your main challenges and responsibilities:
- Define, take part in, and propose strategic directions, and make recommendations that challenge the status quo in the spirit of continuous improvement and collaboration. Manage major issues by using your strong political savvy and ability to influence others to ensure stakeholders’ understanding and buy-in for your management of major issues, risk management, and planning of corrective actions required for the sector and business lines concerned.
- Pair up with the business lines concerned and be a trusted partner while ensuring constant alignment with strategic directions, business priorities, and the stability of your assets.
- Manage, coach, and mobilize a dynamic team of professionals and lead the transformation, cultural and otherwise, already underway in the group.
- Be accountable for the general planning of corrective actions and the necessary controls to be implemented in order to maintain stability, sustainability, and sound management of the risks and costs specific to your assets.
- Be accountable for the quality of process execution within your team and for making the necessary adjustments in the spirit of continuous improvement and collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support, advice, and guidance for our partners’ project execution in different delivery contexts involving your group. This would involve planning for technical, financial, material, and especially human resource needs, managing demand, and effectively planning your workforce.
- Be accountable for the governance of service delivery by external partners related to the management of your assets—including the related business agreement—by ensuring services are delivered at the right cost.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree in a field related to IT and 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing personnel and delivering ongoing coaching
- Experience in project delivery using Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of the IT field
- Knowledge and experience in Operations and IT infrastructure
- Strategic thinking
- Proven leadership skills in a context of ongoing transformation
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence various sectors, colleagues, and members of senior management
- Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
