Melbourne Automobiles is looking to expand its team with progressive minded individuals. This has created an opportunity for a skilled and like-minded Management Accountant to join its dynamic team. This exclusive role will provide you with the opportunity to expand your skill set, work together with the businesses operations team and have a direct contribution to the business’s continual expansion and profitability.

Reporting directly to the business founders, your key responsibilities will be:

• management accounting;
• budgeting and reporting;
• planning, reviewing and administering accounting systems and procedures;
• analysing the financial information needs of the business;
• completing all tax-related material;
• sales & margin analysis;
• month-end and variance analysis;
• financial planning and risk management; and
• advising on strategic planning and business planning.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Strong skills in reporting.
• Additional qualification – CA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Organisational skills.
• Critical and analytical thinking.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint.

You have demonstrable experience as a management accountant or equivalent and looking to further your experience and career within an ever-growing business. You are a team player however also willing to work independently when required. You have developed a strong work ethic with the expectation to switch between tasks, get involved in brand training, and you have the relevant analytical ability to see the bigger picture.
