 The Opportunity:

Our client is seeking people with the skills or are willing to learn the skills to become a Machine

Operator.

You will form part of their team and be based at their Redbank facility.

Your will likely have experience in or willing to learn:

• Operating an overhead gantry crane using a handheld remote control;
• Loading machines with coils and straight length bars;
• Removing product from machines to designated accumulation areas or onto vehicles for delivery;
• Operating machines for cutting, bending and straightening steel;
• In process QA checks, measuring bar length and angles;
• Pre-start machine checks;
• Load restraint compliance;

 About you:

• Reliable and Dependable;
• The ability to follow safe work procedures, adhering to company policies;
• The ability to understand, follow and comply with WH&S obligations and can demonstrate a safe work ethic;
• Reliable transport to and from work;
• Ability to work different shifts and overtime;
• Experience in the steel industry an advantage;
• Skilled in using handheld scanners for load scanning is desirable;
• Previous experience operating cranes or machines is highly desirable.
