About the role

The Centre for Business Intelligence and Data Analytics is recruiting for a Lecturer to play a key role in teaching and learning as well as conducting research.  Other key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and mentoring higher degree research students.
• Contributing to teaching, course design.
• Undertake research, writing project proposal and writing papers / reports.
• Manage relations with industry, government departments and the wider community.
• Preparing applications for external research funding and grants.

About you

You are a self-motivated with a demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of research projects, stakeholder relationships and coordinating the work of research staff. You will also possess:

• Bachelors and/or Master's degree in either econometrics, statistics, or related field.
• a PhD, or is about to complete a PhD in either econometrics, statistics, or in a related field.
• Has the ability to write and structure complex surveys in software such as Qualtrics, using programming languages as Java.
• Has expertise in estimation of discrete choice models, with an emphasis on multiple discrete continuous models, using estimation software such as Pythonbiogeme, R, Matlab, Nlogit.
• Has expertise in non-parametric modelling, as well as hybrid choice models.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $109,285 pa (Level B.2).  This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and an appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
