What is the opportunity?

The Market Business Service under RBC Capital Markets is looking to hire a Leading Trade Support Analyst to join its Canadian Mortgage Investment group (CMIG) in Capital Market, Market Business Service. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to take a leading position to provide operational support to Mortgage and MBS activities, settlements and reconciliations in order to provide high quality operational support.

What will you do?

• Take a leading position to ensure all daily/monthly trade processing, verification, reconciliation are adhered to standards and procedures
• Lead the CMIG team in issue investigation and resolution to eliminate trade errors/operational loss events and identify potential operational risks
• Provid training to the CMIG Trade Support team, share product knowledge to achieve 3 people deep coverage and create and maintain proper documentations
• Have the ability to identify and initiate system change requests e.g. mHUB, Murex to support new products and to lead UAT tests
• Provide assistance to Management (AD/Director/MD) on ad hoc business requests as required
• Bridge communication between CMIG and other functional groups and strengthen relationship with internal and external stakeholders                                                                                              
• Pro-actively identify processes improvement and make recommendations for improving productivity, eliminating redundancies, simplifying processes and maximizing automation
• Assist in scheduled internal and external audits

What you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Recognizable university degree in Finance minimum BBA / BComm / BMath / BSc
• Deep understanding of Canadian Mortgage and Mortgage Back Security Business with 4+ year experiences
• Solid working knowledge on RBC business systems: MHUB, Slim, People Soft, Infinity/Murex, OBI, IRIS etc. with capabilities to troubleshoot issues/bugs and assist with JIRA opening
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail; ability to learn quickly and problem solve.
• Work effectively and reliably under pressure and a team player.

Nice-to-have

• Good knowledge of RMBS securitization process
