Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Next Gen Solution Delivery team that is focused on developing a system that helps RBC development teams securely deliver software faster and smarter to multiple Cloud platforms. As a member of a product-focused, agile managed team, you will be helping build cloud-native applications and exposed to various DevOps tools (Jenkins, UCD, SonarQube, Checkmarx, etc), Cloud Platforms (PCF, OpenShift, Azure and AWS) and modern technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka. Take advantage of a unique opportunity to make an impact and contribute to changing the way software development is done at RBC and improving the development experience of RBC’s large development community.

What will you do?

• Develop micro-frontend components with React.
• Develop micro-services with Java Spring Boot to interact with frontend and other services.
• Building a multi-cloud solution.
• Troubleshoot and investigate issues as they arise.
• Mentor and Coach Junior Developers
• Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to deliver products that improve developers day-to-day activities

Must have

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficient with frontend development React, JavaScript/Typescript and CSS.
• Experience working with Redux and WebPack.
• Familiar with building micro-services using Spring Framework
• Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Cloud and Spring Boot
• Hands on experience with REST API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of micro-services architecture, both frontend and backend
