This is a future-focused role whose purpose is to support ongoing strategic development and improvement of infrastructure procurement and performance in Waka Kotahi and the transport sector.

The role provides advice and leads activities to develop, implement and monitor performance of infrastructure procurement models through targeted improvements and adoption of innovative methods.

If you are a thought leader who enjoys working on complex, inter-linked programmes of work in a fluid environment, have experience in developing and applying new procurement or commercial models and are quick to identify risks and manage engagement across stakeholders and partners then this opportunity is for you.

• 5+ years procurement management experience working in a commercially complex environment
• Understanding of government financial processes, budget and contract management
• High level strategic, analytical and conceptual thinking
