The Opportunity:

We have a permanent Technician opportunity with the AsureQuality Instrumentation Team in Wellington!

This is a wonderful opportunity for laboratory professionals to gain a breadth of knowledge around laboratory practise in a commercial environment.

With your enthusiasm for Science and ability to prioritise work, this role will see you perform routine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the laboratory instruments, setting up laboratory runs after sample extraction and passing on quality data to be processed.

If you have knowledge of Liquid and Gas Chromatography this will be a perfect springboard to success in this role as you communicate up and down the laboratory structure to ensure a professional slick, quick, quality response to customer needs.

This is a role where attention to detail whilst working at pace is imperative, but you'll have a friendly, professional enthusiastic team around you willing to share their knowledge and learn from with your switched on, proactive way of working!

This is an opportunity to experience the breadth of laboratory practises required at AsureQuality and in turn broaden your experience and knowledge within the laboratory environment.

About you:           

Please be advised this opportunity is 40 hours a week, on a Tuesday - Saturday shift with some flexibility to work overtime as the lab is functioning 6 days a week.

  • A passion for science and quality
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, communicative environment
  • Exemplary attention to detail and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent data management and the ability to prioritise processes.
  • Previous experience working with laboratory instrumentation is well received in this role.
  • Pride in what you do, the quality of your work and a true team ethos

A background or qualification in Science is well regarded as is previous experience from a role in the broader Science/Laboratory industry
