Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

The Advisor, Learning and Development, is a member of the People & Capability team. Together with the Senior Advisor, Learning and Development, they will be responsible for supporting and coordinating a wide range of training, learning, and development initiatives and programmes to Te Puni Kōkiri kaimahi from across the organisation. This role works closely with their team, Te Puni Kōkiri managers and kaimahi to ensure that activity meets requirements of Te Puni Kōkiri, supporting a high functioning organisation. They maintain strong connections with Ara Kaiārahitanga - Leadership Development Centre (LDC), cross agency HR teams and training facilitators.

As the successful candidate you will have the following:

  • Experience in delivery of HR services, particularly in Learning and Development
  • Good understanding of Te Reo and Tikanga
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and predict client needs
  • Good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Able to confidentially present and facilitate in small group settings
  • Team player - ready to pitch in and support the entire organisation with learning needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take a flexible approach to service delivery.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, energetic, and self-motivated.
  • Trustworthy with the ability to deal with confidential information.
