Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity
As the Senior Advisor, Health, Safety and Security you'll utilise your high level technical knowledge and expertise relevant to Privacy, Health and Safety, and Protective Security Requirements. You understand how organisations function and how best to lead and embed initiatives. You'll get to use your knowledge to influence outcomes that matter.
Working and partnering with leaders and key staff across the Ministry and the Health and Safety Representative Network, you ensure programmes are fit for purpose, meet assurance requirements, and that and our kaimahi are educated to know and understand why Health, Safety and Security is important and understand how to apply processes and meet policy requirements.
You will report directly to the Director People and Capability and take ownership for the work programme. You connect with the Senior Advisor Emergency Management and Business Continuity, maintaining an awareness of programmes of work and areas where coordination could improve effectiveness.
Based in our National office, Whanganui-a -tara, you support our regional offices as well and some travel may be required. You will engage across the organisation and externally in cross-agency activities, and be influential with ideas you share.
