We are looking for a dynamic person who can support us in our endeavour to be a Te Tiriti Led Speech and Language Therapy Programme in the Institute of Education.

This person, Kaiakiaki Maori - Speech and Language Therapy Programme Advisor would have the skills, disposition, and knowledge necessary to support our Speech Language Therapy team to partner with tangata whenua, and to implement culturally sustaining practices, systems, and processes that particularly align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and provisions.

Understanding that the principles are about many groups of people who come together in Aotearoa. The provisions are more particularly about the rights of tangata whenua to resources, ways of being, and living that were never signed away (for example).

This is a permanent, part-time 0.2FTE (7.5 hours per week) position in the Institute of Education.
