Ko tā mātou mahi -  Our Role

In this role, you'll develop strategic options and determine the appropriate investment response for your area based on local council, iwi, community, Kāinga Ora asset quality and market requirements.

You'll identify strategic opportunities and provide advice and recommendations on the range of Kāinga Ora interventions to maximise the organisation's build programme and mitigate housing pressures in the area.

Central to your success will be your ability to develop and sustain internal and external stakeholder relationships that support the delivery of Kāinga Ora's objectives and outcomes.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Extensive experience in development strategy, portfolio management, property or a similar field, with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of property development (or similar) and associated legislation/regulations
  • An understanding of the Urban Development Act 2020 and the different types of interventions available to meet urban development requirements
  • Experience identifying and analysing options for complex, multi-faceted investment decisions, balancing commercial and social objectives
  • Demonstrated commitment to relationship-building and working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.
