Primary Job Responsibilities:

As an Investment Banking Analyst, you can expect to actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the Investment Banking team. You will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and deepen your knowledge of the investment banking industry.

The individual’s responsibilities will include:

• Preparing presentation materials supporting our clients’ capital decision-making
• Supporting transaction teams in the execution of financing and advisory assignments
• Building complex financial models and performing valuation analysis
• Conducting industry and company research and analysis
• Performing various tasks assisting senior team members in their deal execution and client coverage efforts

Qualifications and Experience

The Analyst position will appeal to highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing an investment banking career in an entrepreneurial and high-energy environment.

We are seeking candidates who possess the following:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, accounting or mining engineering
• Minimum of one year of applicable investment banking, research, advisory or transaction services work experience
• Superior analytical abilities
• Keen interest in capital markets, investment banking and the mining sector
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities, timelines and requests
• Hard-working, enthusiastic and collaborative approach with the ability to function as part of a team
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships, French is considered an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel), Capital IQ and Bloomberg
