Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the process and tools used to convert Physical to Virtual servers.

Working knowledge of n-tier architecture and networking standards in legacy and private/public/hybrid cloud design.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux in legacy and private/public/hybrid cloud-hosted infrastructures.

Experience with Windows Server OS (2012 or later), SUN Solaris and Solaris Containers and LDOMS, VMWare, SAN Storage and Data Backup technologies and Network Technology (CISCO, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Juniper, NSX-T etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Experience working on the Government of Ontario environment
• Advanced knowledge and experience with configuring and deploying Enterprise Cisco
• catalyst switches including migrations from EOL legacy products to modern Cisco switches:
  • 9xxx series, Nexus 7xxx, 45xx, 38xx
• Advanced knowledge and experience with configuring and deploying Enterprise Routers:
  • Cisco ASR
• Advanced knowledge and experience with configuring and deploying Load Balancers:
  • Cisco ACE, VM Ware based AVI advanced load balancers
• Advanced knowledge and experience with configuring and deploying Firewalls:
  • Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Next Gen Firepower
• Advanced experience with configuring and deploying Cisco GTM, NetScout
• Advanced experience Cisco ACI product for end to end service deployment of Tenants, EPGs, Application Profile, Access, Fabric policies with GUI based implementations using MSO, APIC’s.
• Advanced experience with configuring and deploying BIG IP F5 LTM and GTM deployments.
• Expertise with Checkpoint firewalls
• Expertise with XML Gateways
• Experience in understanding and decomposing network design diagrams
• Considerable experience in developing operational documentation

Experience and Skill Set Requirements – Evaluation criteria

OPS Experience - 5%

• Demonstrated understanding and experience with the and delivery of OPS architecture through the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Governance process.
• Demonstrates knowledge of OPS Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and required EA Governance deliverables.

General Skills - 5%

• ​Demonstrates strong documentation and writing skills.
• Demonstrates experience with requirements gathering and analysis.
• Demonstrates experience with providing incident and intake resolution.

Security Strategies and Virtualization Methodologies - 15%

• Demonstrated within the process and tools used to convert Physical to Virtual servers. Working knowledge of n-tier architecture and networking standards in legacy and private/public/hybrid cloud design.

Operating System Experience - 20%

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux in legacy and private/public/hybrid cloud hosted infrastructures.
