Lionary Building Group North Island has an opportunity for a driven, Intermediate or Senior QS. Business is booming and the team need another loyal team player, You will be pricing ALL residential and commercial jobs for the entire north island company. Ideally for this job to be suited, you’ll have worked on estimating and project quantity surveying on commercial projects and residential builds previously. 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Liaison with Project Managers in respect to project planning for Sub-contractor, Supplier, Labour and Material resources for the project
• Tendering of sub-trades and material packages
• Review of tender documentation and assessment of Scope of Work
• Pricing and estimating
• Risk assessment including site inspection where required
• Procurement of Sub-contract Agreements, Sub-contract, and Supplier Guarantees & Warranties
• Maintaining and developing Quality Assurance & Quality Control procedures
• Monitoring cash flow, cost control, budget including reporting
• Attendance at PCG, Site and Design Meetings as required
• Liaison and correspondence with Clients, Architects, Designers, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. as required
• Processing of Progress Claims, Variations, Payment Certificates and Final Accounts

 To be successful in this position you will

• Ideally, have at least 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying in commercial or residential volume build construction
• Hold a relevant diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or have experience
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Enjoy working with people at all levels within the construction industry
• Be professional, driven and have a sense of urgency in delivering your work
