Job Description
As an intermediate BA, you may be asked to perform a variety of business analysis tasks across two streams of activity in our applications development business unit:
- External client-facing assignments across a range of delivery streams and internal-focused Account projects and initiatives
- DXC organizational initiatives
Tasks associated with these assignments can vary from business process analysis, application assessments, gathering and documenting user, functional and technical requirements, assisting with transitions of new business into DXC, assisting with RFI and RFP responses, assisting in developing collateral and other capability-related initiatives, preparing a variety of business and contractual documents and reports to meet client and DXC needs and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between client and other support groups to identify business processes, systems and product requirements
- Define user, functional and technical requirements
- Define and document business processes
- Support the conducting of interviews and facilitation of workshops to elicit requirements
- Assist in the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies and other business development initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of project workbooks, estimates and schedules
- Apply process and quality principles, policies and procedures
- Scope and Change Management.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Have training in the Agile methodology as well as experience in Waterfall environments
- Understand Test driven development and Continuous integration
- Have a “Generalist†mind-set, able to wear different hats
- Have experience in process flow diagrams and swim lanes
- Understand Kanban concepts
- Business analysis background (>3 years) in software or related design
- Experience of delivering systems solutions to support the needs of the business
- Experience in analysing and converting User Requirements into Functional Specifications
- Experience in using modern methods and processes
- Strong Verbal Communication skills required for customer liaison, interviewing, negotiating, and presentations
- Strong Written Communication skills required for articulating requirements into having one meaning for all audiences using various media i.e. presentations, specifications
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with Clients at all levels.
