An exciting opportunity exists to join the Southern Region Intelligence team, initially based at Christchurch Women's Prison. Reporting to the Manager Regional Intelligence, Southern the Intelligence Officer role is part of a small team tasked to provide quality actionable intelligence to support HÅkai Rangi and help to protect victims, prevent criminal activity and support staff safety.

We are after a hardworking person with an understanding of operational and tactical intelligence. You will apply your operational experience to help collect information in order to help prevent harm and manage future risk, including the prevention and detection of criminal activity in prisons.
Through the development, coordination and maintenance of an integrated network you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information and intelligence to support your team and decision-makers

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Ideally the preferred candidate will have current Corrections Intelligence experience along with formal intelligence qualifications (Level 3 Certificate in Intelligence as a minimum). Possessing an ability to evaluate information with a sense of urgency, you will be committed to ensuring the integrity of our operations, elevating concerns before issues arise.
A full driver licence is required as travel will be a requirement of this role.
The successful applicant must obtain, and maintain, a Secret clearance.
