Informatica Developer

Position Responsibilities

• Perform detail design, development, documentation, debugging and implementation of solutions for Informatica ETL requirements.
• Should have demonstrable skills on ETL design patterns and data architecture, UNIX and Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server
• To provide ETL Design solutions and support Architecture in defining strategies. Leading team of desiners and developers
• To understand the overall purpose of the projects and contribute to requirements & data analysis, and provide solutions from an ETL perspective
• Delivery of low level design documents with ETL & DWH strategy, standards and adhering to ETL & BIW principles & policies.
• Solid grasp of ETL, Application Data Integration, DWH and Report designs with functional and non-functional assessment for global implementations.
• Accountable for project related queries/issues !!
• Should be proficient with following Informatica PowerCenter Client’s tool set –
• Informatica PowerCenter Designer - Mapping Development
• Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Manager – Workflow Development
• Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Monitor – Job Monitoring
• Informatica PowerCenter Repository Manager – Building Code Deployment Queries
• Good exposure of Informatica Command line utilities such as pmcmd, pmrep, etc.
• Able to craft end to end ETL solution for sophisticated case studies.
• Solid grasp of at least one Job scheduler tool.
• Identify data source for different type of Customer data and analyze applications / system data
• Using all of the above components to build and maintain an enterprise data solution and rules execution.
• Must have hands-on experience with SQL, Shell Scripting, bash, Korn shell scripting, SQL performance tuning, relational model analysis and data migration.
• Should have good interpersonal skills and client handling skills.
• Solid understanding in BI and Data Warehousing.

Must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• 7+ years of success in consultative/sophisticated deployment project, architecture, design, implementation and/or support of data and analytics solutions.
• Excellent skill in Informatica PowerCenter Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, Repository Manager, Command line utilities such as pmcmd, pmrep, etc
