Description
• Preparing and cooking food on order.
• Seasoning food as required before and during cooking
• Preparing food to meet special dietary needs.
• To arrange and order material supplies and on receipt of goods store it properly and
keep inventory.
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• Ensuring that all food costs are kept to a minimum.
• Storing food in a proper manner ensures food safety standards are met.
• Ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy always.
• Helping with menu planning for group orders and catering as and when required.
• Helping with planning menus and estimating food requirements for the day-to-day
operations of the restaurant.
• Prepare dessert and special dishes when required.
• Ensure washing and cleaning of kitchen utensils, gas Nobbs, pots and pens etc.
• Ensuring frank and open discussion with all the staff and management.
• May train other kitchen staff as required.
• Performing any other duties that arises for safe and hygienic and efficient running of
the restaurant.
The Successful applicant for the position must have:
•At least 3 years experience in Indian Kitchen
•Be able to work in a busy environment.
•Flexibility to work 7 days a week.
• Able to work in both curry and tandoor
