Your new company
Our client is a global organisation specialising in the manufacturing of food packaging with sites across Hawkes Bay, Christchurch and Auckland. They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Generalist to join their HR team.

Your new role
Reporting to the GM HR, you'll be responsible for delivering effective generalist HR and Recruitment support to the NZ business and driving the HR strategy to support the business to achieve its goals. Responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the review and development of HR strategies, policies and processes
  • HR support, coaching and guiding Managers across the full employee lifecycle
  • Design and implementation of the Talent Acquisition strategy
  • End to end recruitment
  • Development of both NZ and international talent pipelines
  • Training & development
  • ER/IR support

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be an experienced HR Generalist with a proven knowledge of NZ Employment legislation and experience delivering effective Talent strategies. With well developed people skills, you'll build relationships quickly and will enjoy a role where you're the trusted Advisor to the Leadership team.

You'll be commercially minded with well rounded problem solving skills and will thrive in a partnering role where you are coaching and guiding Managers and supporting them to achieve their objectives.

This role is expected to be a 50/50 split between HR and Recruitment and you'll be comfortable in a busy and varied role where you are able to manage competing priorities and conflicting demands. You'll bring creative thinking to the role and will be able to think outside the square bringing a solutions based approach.

Experience in manufacturing would be highly desirable along with experience with collective agreements, negotiations and disciplinary processes.
