Hospice Waikato is an organisation focused on leading the way in the growing specialist field of community palliative care. We have a number of exciting opportunities for Registered Nurses to join the Inpatient Unit Team (IPU) on a permanent basis.
As a member of the Hospice Waikato Nursing Team, you will provide the best possible holistic care and support to our patients and their whaanau living with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses. Our care includes respite, symptom management and end of life care. Flexibility around hours will be required in this role with the ability to work rostered, rotating shifts between Monday and Sunday.

Essential:
• A current practising certificate with Nursing Council of New Zealand
• Palliative care nursing experience
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a thriving and supportive interdisciplinary team
• A visible passion for nursing and the field of palliative care
• Motivation to make a meaningful and positive difference to the quality of life for patients and whaanau
• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and providing equitable health care
Desirable:
• Post-registration qualification in palliative care or life-limiting conditions
• Experience in working with children with complex care needs
• Experience in whaanau/ family support and education
• Advanced clinical assessment skills
