The incumbent will be expected to:
Repair electrical faults in generators, alternators, pumps, electric motors and low voltage switchboards as well as read and interprets mechanical drawings. Take Daily fuel tank recordings, refuel generators, monitor all working generators automatically through a digital synchronize system daily. Carry out a 250 hours maintenance on each generator when due and keep track of maintenance records and ensure all work is performed to quality standards and customer expectations. Efficiently establish an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to accomplish a goal. Provide lists of spare parts for diesel engines, control panels and required tools and equipment and ensure the use of spare parts in the most effective and productive manner Perform emergency repairs of generators, Install and maintain the generator wiring, electric motors and machines, handle responsibilities of maintaining logs, records and various files related to technical information Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor and/or One UN House Manager Power generation and distribution Operation and maintenance of all generation and distribution of power equipment.
Under the direct supervision of the Generator Mechanic/Engineer and the overall supervision of the One UN House Manager,the incumbent is responsible for Maintenance, repair, overhaul, and rebuilding of high-speed diesel generators within the compound. He reports to Supervisor, on the proper delivery of related services in One UN House Liberia PAP. Competencies

Required Skills and Experience Should have training/certification on operation and maintenance of Volvo, Cummins and John Deere Engines Must be familiar with operating and maintenance manuals and other literature relating to One UN House generators (currently Volvo Penta, Cummins 500 kVa and John Deere 250 KVA) to ensure all necessary steps are taken to keep them in good running order and maximize their useful lives Must have the ability to perform complete installation/repair/replacement of engine and alternator components on generators of 500 and 250 KVA. Must have demonstrated advance technical knowledge in solving complex problems related to existing electrical and new installations. Must be able to accurately interpret prints, schematics and manufactures technical documents. Should have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively relevant work experience in the field of generator maintenance, electrical engineering or power maintenance. Should have field experience in United Nations or similar field (exploration). Knowledge in computer use and other software ranging from word processing and spreadsheets Should be able to programme deep sea controls (8610,7320) and have practical knowledge of troubleshooting of the control systems Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required. Technical diploma, either from technical college/ trade school or a BSC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Experience:
