What is the opportunity?
As a Generalist in the Managed Solutions Group, you will fill a critical role supporting the sales force with general information regarding all Managed Solutions Group (MSG) fee-based programs for RBC Dominion Securities. You will be the primary source for incoming Investment Advisor and Associate questions and concerns. You will assist to help drive growth in fee-based strategies, service the Advisors, Associates and Branches with any inquiries, support and administer all fee based programs. You will also collaborate with various organizational groups internally and externally to ensure relationships are established and maintained to protect and grow the fee based programs.
NOTE: This is a contract position for 12 months.
What will you do?
• Assist RBC Dominion Securities Investment Advisors and Associates via phone and email, providing reactive and proactive support and guidance
• Provide navigational assistance to branches of the various tools available to them
• Provide information on all external managers, funds and ETF's used within the platform
• Update and maintain investment lists
• Coordinate educational phone calls on MSG programs as well as quarterly presentations at new Investment Advisor and Associate training seminars
• Review and provide fee exceptions for all fee-based programs
• Coordinate with the research team, portfolio overlay and fee-based operations on complex client situations
• Provide analyst support, data mining and reporting support for each product
• Responsible for providing administration support for the Head, Senior Program Managers and Programs
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the financial sector, preferably in full-service brokerage
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Strong self-directed team player with a bias for action and ability to deal with multiple competing priorities
Nice to have
• Bilingual French, spoken and written
