General Ledger Accountant – Contract – Raleigh, NC - $55.00-$60.00

A Biotechnology Company is seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Raleigh, NC.

Role Description

The General Ledger Accountant, Global Financial Solutions, will join of a center of excellence team responsible for fixed asset accounting, cash accounting, lease accounting, intercompany, prepaid and accrual accounting, and the maintenance of controls and associated reporting for the US Region. The GL Accountant will provide accounting support in accordance with US GAAP and take part in the requirements to ensure a successful ERP transformation.

Skills & Requirements

• Must be able to apply accounting knowledge to day-to-day operations and assigned projects.

• Strong technical expertise in various areas of general accounting (fixed assets, intercompany, lease, cash) is required to prepare and review related journal entries, reconciliation, and analysis.

• Ability to review large sets of data and identify trends for management reporting.

• Working knowledge of SAP, SAP/S4 Hana is preferred.

• Experience supporting ERP system implementations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required.

• Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required.

• Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.

• Must be detail-oriented.
