General Accountant

• Permanent Full-Time position
• 38 hours per week
• $60,000 - $70,000 per year, plus superannuation

3 W Catering Pty Ltd is a catering company trading in multiple restaurants in Sydney RSL Clubs; Grange Buffet & Sports Cafe in Blacktown Workers Sports Club; Brasserie on the Park & Poppy Cafe in Cabra-Vale Diggers Club.

We have embedded systems and processes to deliver the operating excellence needed to run a large and multi-sited catering business. Our key personnel are all highly experienced and this leadership and management stability is a key factor in our success and operational consistency.

Due to significant company growth, we are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team on a full-time basis to assist the business in improving and maintaining all financial information and provide detailed financial reporting support to key stakeholders in the business.

Main Duties/Responsibilities of the General Accountant:

• Assisting management with the company’s accounting policies and budgeting forecasts
• Analysing company operating and financial costs
• Identifying and reporting on financial risks
• Assisting Directors with funds management in conjunction with the company’s financial institutions
• Undertaking bank and credit card reconciliations and related journals
• Preparing payroll report review and processing of related journals for salary and wages and payroll related, taxes and superannuation.
• Preparation of GST, FBT, Payroll and Corporate Income Tax returns
• Preparation of financial statements and cash flow statements
• Management Reporting – Preparation of internal reports for stock reconciliations, sales, cash flows, and projections
• Completion of the monthly accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals
• Maintaining and implementing internal control systems
• Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the broader team

Skills & Experience

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• At least two years of relevant working experience

Skills

• Solid Background and advanced skills in accounting or a similar field
• Strong and proven MYOB experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organised and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
