The successful candidate must have a caring and understanding nature together with well-developed interpersonal skills and sensitivity to circumstances involving grieving people. Whilst previous experience can be advantageous, full training will be provided in the role. Mostly we are looking for candidates that have exceptional customer service standards and can show empathy, patience and resilience in performing the role.

As a part of our team, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Transfers of the deceased persons
• Vehicle Maintenance/Cleaning
• Driving Services
• General Assistance during funeral ceremonies
• Participation in an on-call roster
• Support to the family and attendees at a funeral service

To be successful on this role you must:

• Be at ease working within a funeral, cemetery and crematoria environment
• Sensitivity to circumstances involving grieving people, and their values and beliefs.
• An ability to be customer focused, and to communicate and respond effectively with clients.
• Insight and empathy, in order to interpret the needs of people.
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow direction
• Have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own
• Be able to carry out duties in a safe manner and in accordance with Manual Handling, WHS/OHS guidelines which can require physical strength
• Excellent personal presentation and pride in themselves and the brand you represent
• Unrestricted Driver’s License is essential
