Your role:
Understand business issues, identify and analyze the needs of clients and business partners, document requests, and prepare recommendations to design or adapt systems to meet those needs and facilitate decision-making
Conduct various complex analyses, identify discrepancies, and make recommendations to optimize system efficiency and resolve major issues
Analyze system change requests, assess their impact on existing applications, and suggest and carry out the appropriate changes
Draw up validation and quality control procedures based on established development standards and norms and perform extensive testing to ensure that any systems developed or modified are adequate
Provide support to respond to user requests or handle problems affecting existing applications
Your day-to-day:
Participate in various project activities
Prepare or participate in the assessment of new needs (development projects and change requests)
Conduct functional analyses
Participate in tests (test plan and sets, test execution and verification)
Participate in resolving client and application support requests
Review processes and propose improvements
Participate in document updates
Meet architecture targets
Support other employees for project implementation and change requests, as needed
Your profile:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant experience in analysis
Solid understanding of SQL (Databricks and Snowflake, an asset)
Experience on a data engineering team
Experience in the banking/or financial services industry, an asset
Excellent analytical skills and ability to summarize information
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Strong time and priority management skills
A versatile self-starter
Detail-oriented and diligent
Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
