CTG recruits, deploys and manages the right people with the right skills to implement humanitarian and development projects, from cleaners to obstetricians, and mechanics to infection specialists, we’re skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Key to successful project delivery is the ability to mobilise at speed; CTG can source and deploy anyone, anywhere, in less than 2 weeks and have done so in 48 hours on a number of occasions.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities (Good Dispensing Practices is ensured).
- Ensure medicine stock management for the assigned pharmacy and implementation of pharmacies standards.
- Provide support and technical input on all issues relevant to pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure monthly consumption reports/inventory of health facilities
- Conduct a regular spot check, monthly complete stock count, implement pharmacy check list and update the related documents accordingly.
- Monitors the availability of medical products to avoid stock-outs and financial losses generated by expired items and/or wastage
- Take timely measures to avoid stock-out and expiry of medicines and supplies
- Analyze demands/consumptions, prepare regular forecasts, calculate replenishment orders, and initiate timely stock withdrawal request accordingly.
- Manage medical stocks ensuring security and maintenance.
- Ensure medicine receiving, storage and dispatching according to guidelines/SOPs
- Perform visual and physical quality control checks on all items received
- Keep all the pharmacy records/documents and inventory accurate and up to date.
- Ensure timely reporting on stock status.
- Make sure that the pharmacy medical commodities stored under proper storage conditions.
- Assist in ensuring Quality Assurance in medicinal and supply management.
- Assist in improving and ensuring the rational use of medicine
- Strictly follow CLIENT standards with respect to customer-friendly services, confidentialities of medical information, ethical standards and healthy working environment.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited academic institution. Pharm. D holding pharmacists will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in pharmacy management of relevant working experience
- Working experience with the UN, CLIENT or INGOs preferred.
- Experience working in hardship duty stations and emergency settings with complex operating environments preferred.
- Strong computer background, including experience with databases, Microsoft applications, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Operational and field experience in migration, refugee and displaced persons related programming is an advantage.
Skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, rapidly changing environments.
- Very good people skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Languages
Fluency in English is required
Working knowledge in Dari and/or Pashto is an advantage.
