Summary of the role

Working in a team of Research Governance, Ethics and Compliance subject matter experts, they will provide assurance that the rights, dignity, safety and wellbeing of research participants are protected.

The Senior Research Governance Officer will be responsible for supporting researchers in setting up projects and for ongoing studies, and for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice. They will provide expert support for researchers on obtaining the appropriate authorisations and will provide an effective link between external agencies, research teams and relevant University professional services staff.

About you

We are looking for a diligent individual who has experience of working in a research governance environment. You will enjoy supporting researchers to comply with relevant regulatory approvals for clinical research and participating in the assessment of new clinical trials (including CTIMP and Medical Device trials), health and social care research applications for sponsorship approval and for ongoing study amendments.
