Responsibilities
As a Frontend Software Engineer on the Microsoft NLX team, you will:
- Work in a combined engineering organization to drive design, development, testing and release of web-based services that enhance the customer experience.
- Help evolve development guidelines, practices & principles for a world where client and services development & delivery is moving faster than ever.
- Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.
- Design resilient, scalable, and easily maintainable software.
- Foster a data driven approach to everything we do.
- Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders in order to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Industry experience designing, building, testing & shipping software.
- Experience with modern client-side/web technologies such as React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Webpack, Node.js or similar.
- Experience building libraries, SDKs, and other development platform components, preferably using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns.
- Experience in building and evolving web applications and / or cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
- Ability to handle competing priorities in fast paced environment.
- An ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
